New WR coach could be Bobby Engram

There have been many rumors that former Penn State star WR could be the new WR coach for the Panthers.  A longtime NFL veteran, the 39-year old Engram was an offensive assistant in his first year as a coach for the 49ers this season.  A native of South Carolina, Engram currently lives in Murrysville, PA.

While I haven't confirmed this hiring yet, if it came to fruition, it would be a nice hire for Paul Chryst due to Engram's long NFL career.

  1. I do not find this surprising as his wife is a Penn Hills grads and his kids are in the Franklin Regional School district. This will be a nice move for him to be closer to his family.

  2. Bobby Engram scored me a ton of fantasy points in his 2nd to last year in the NFL a few years ago. We should hire him.

  10. Oh. Ive always been confused by that. What exactly goes on during visits? Do they takes tours of the school or whatever the kids want?

  11. It depends. Usually they show them around the school, the football facilities, etc., then take them to dinner (usually the same place at the Waterfront). At night they hang out with current players who escort them around to do whatever they decide to do.

  12. Chris, do you have any idea who the potential transfers may be? Seems like we are all thinking there are roughly 5 spots open for new recruits but that is only if we have no transfers. Any thoughts on who this may be?
