How Jamie Dixon compares when getting to Elite 8

Jamie Dixon has been the head coach of Pitt for ten years.  He has coached the Panthers to one Elite 8 appearance in that time.  Here's how he compares to other coaches in those same ten years. Obviously some of these coaches can add one more to their column this year if their team is still alive. Those coaches have obviously not completed ten years until they lose.

  1. Dokish saw your post about Severe. That's a pipe dream he ends up at Pitt. Offensive talent doesn't want to come to Pitt to be forced to play defense.

  2. If I was Jamie Dixon I would pick up the phone and call tom izzo. I would ask him for a week of his time and then go someplace and do nothin else but talk basketball. I would talk basketball morning, noon, and night. check that, i would sit back and keep my mouth shut, and let him talk basketball, and i would listenn to every single word he says.. That guy knows how to build a team for the tournament.

  5. Just got a text that Dixon got an extension thru 2023. Any truth to this?

    1. If he did it's not worth the paper it's written on if Dixon wants to leave. Of course it does show what we all knew already...that Pitt would never fire Dixon.
