  1. Mike White Varsity Blog stating Sheldon Jeter going to Polk Community College in Florida.
That is where is cousin Lance went. (Cincy football to Polk to Nebraska)
    Why?
It costs as much to go to Polk for Out of State as it does to go to Pitt in-state.

  3. It's much cheaper to go to Polk than to Pitt. From what I'm hearing, he will probably end up at Pitt next year, but you never know what will happen in the meantime.

  4. Where is the ACC Tournament this year?

    1. Yay - I'm an hr away - going to see Pitt at Duke in FB, Pitt at NC State and Pitt at UNC in BB this year...plus, the ACC Tournament.

      StubHub baby!

  5. Dokish - Can you defend this OOC schedule? Seems like a solid NCAA seed is firmly out the door before the season even starts. I don't wanna hear how they are 14-1 or whatever it is in the OOC. Its a crap schedule and its embarrassing for a top program. Go look at the other top flight programs. Izzo plays anyone. Dixon does not. Izzo makes final fours. Dixon does not.

    1. If Pitt had the same teams as the other top programs he would play everybody, but he has to win 20+ games to keep the program viable. I complain every year that the schedule is pathetic but it's actually a little stronger this season. At least they are playing some programs from major conferences.

  6. Last year's hoops non-conf schedule was EMBARRASSING! This year is much better ... altho it's hard to tell ahead of time if some of the "traditional powers" (Stanford, Texas Tech) on the schedule will be any good this year or not.

And I'm thrilled to be playing the Nits, in anything, whether they're good or not.

  7. Sheldon Jeter keeping options open.

  8. Pitt and Jeter have been in contact. If Jeter transferred to Pitt he wouldn't be allowed to practice with the team obviously. But at Polk he can and Matt Furjanic will get him ready for what Pitt wants. The keeping the options open stance is said just in case Pitt decides that they want to go in a different direction. But realistically Pitt is the heavy favorite to get him next year.

  9. Chris - Have you ever attended a practice when Chryst was the head coach?
