Paris Ford is a Panther

The dam has broken and it has broken in a big way. One of the top prospects nationally, at any position, in the 2017 class, safety Paris Ford of Seton-LaSalle HS in Pittsburgh, has committed to the Panthers. The 6'1" 180 pound Ford is considered a top 100 prospect nationally. He has the length, speed, and athleticism of an elite defensive back. In the last fifteen years or so, safeties have become playmakers and they have become a highly coveted commodity.  Ford has amazing range and has All-American potential.  His other offers included Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Auburn, UCLA, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee, among others.

    2. Seriously we get great news and you want to be the grammar police. I love Pitt but really can't stand fans like you. For once can we just be happy and not be a bunch of sad sack, the sky is falling, overly critical yinzer pitt fans!

  4. Can't wait to see how this staff recruits when they have a couple years here under their belts. I hope Narduzzi can keep them all here a for few years before other schools hire them away.

Either way, he has shown that he knows how to hire assistants....and when other teams take them away for promotions, that will only ad to his reputation.

And I love the fact that Ford wants to start recruiting his pals right away...

Note to Dixon: Hire some assistants who can recruit and know how to coach....and then allow them to do so on the sidelines for a change too. Maybe Narduzzi can give you a few pointers...

  6. Some big names outside of Pittsburgh taking notice as well. 17 could be the top rated school in the country defensively if the stars align. This team could be something special in a short period of time.
